FOREWORD In 2011 AS3 chose to commit to the ten principles of the UN Global Compact. For ten years, we have committed ourselves to working with the principles in the context that makes sense for our company. Joining the Global Compact is a signal to the world and ourselves that we are taking on our share of the responsibility for solving some of the major challenges facing our society. AS3 is a value-based company. We want to act business-oriented, decent, and with a long-term perspective. This means that we take responsibil- ity and that we try to do more than what is ex- pected of us in our everyday work. It also means that we strive to live up to the expectations for an organization focusing on the social and societal responsibility. It is important to AS3 that we and our partners work based on the Global Compact principles. We collaborate with several companies, where we each contribute with our professionalism and expertise to help cope with the complex social, employment, and health challenges which the Nordic society faces. We are, among other things, committed to strengthen our long-term ef- forts to provide sustainable solutions to our clients, as well as focusing on today's and future envi- ronmental and societal challenges. In a time of change and an unpredictable socie- tal situation, we have found it essential that we in AS3 protect our DNA and remain explicit about it. In 2021, I have written "The Clear Leadership," a book for AS3's leaders. Our leaders are culture bearers. Therefore, it is critical that they exemplify the human vision we want to convey throughout the organization and beyond. I have also written the book "Core Commitment", which is aimed at both current and future em- ployees. The book contributes to create a sus- tainable organization and clarifies the expecta- tions we can and should have for each other. In AS3 we continuously work to promote a good working environment in our organization, and work with the AMO supports this. However, a safe and healthy workplace is created first and fore- most by all of us in everyday life; by our actions and our attitude to going to work. This year, we have again benefited from recent years digitalisation initiatives, where we have been confirmed that our digitalisation strategy helps to secure the future of AS3. Through our digital solutions, we have – despite the corona crisis – still been able to contribute to more peo- ple entering or returning to the labour market af- ter a period of unemployment or illness. We have been able to continue our contribution within health and well-being, both for the candidates and the companies we work with. Our focus on digitalisation also has an impact within CSR, it means, among other things, that we can reduce our reliance on transportation, re- duce our paper consumption and can offer our candidates a wide range of solutions and oppor- tunities that are more flexible and individually fo- cused. This report is our tenth Communication on Pro- gress (COP) report that we are submitting to the UN. The report presents the various topics relating to AS3’s social responsibility, which in particular has our attention. Enjoy your reading Allan Gross-Nielsen, CEO 3
